1.   My exit strategy would be to sell my business between 5 or 10 years. This is because I know that my business will grow enough to become attractive to other investors. Since the beginning of this class, I knew that my venture concept will eventually come to an end because I always wanted to make it big and sell it after that. 2. I choose this as my exit strategy because I want to get into another type of business. Not only telecommunications. For starters, one business that I want to venture into is the cart parts manufacturing. I want to establish my own car parts factory back in my home country. I want to do this because I know that the labor cost in my home country is not expensive at all. I also want to do it because I know that the necessary materials for the car parts will not be a problem. However, my location is not the only factor that drives me to start this new concept. I also have some experience because of my social capital. I have a friend that is a mechanic...

The Art of Social Media: Power Tips for Power Users, Guy Kawasaki 1. This book is filled with many tips on how to use social media properly. It focuses on guiding its readers on how to be successful with our social media platforms. It shows how to get more followers, to customize your profile and many other things that will make your social media profile into an asset. However, the book has a lot more than giving you tips on how to use properly use social media. The books also show you have to use social media as leverage. The author describes that we have content creation and content curation in social media. However, our best approach should be content curation. Content curation is basically copying down some else posts and then summarizing them into our own post. We do content curation to save time and to make our profile stronger. 2. This book relates to ENT 3003 because of the social aspect of the book. Entrepreneurship is all about getting to know people and interact with them....

My most memorable failure was in my first semester in UF. I transferred last year from Santa Fe College and the experience is a very different one. Back when I was in college I knew exactly the amount of time I had to put into a class to get the grade that I wanted. Now in UF, I have to almost double the hours I need to put into a class. In my first semester at UF. I was not aware that the academic course load was on another level. I was expecting some difficulty but not what it turn out to be. I was taking 15 credits in my first semester. Three out of the 4 classes I had were core classes. My core classes were Principles of Finance, Management, and Marketing. The first week of class was okay. Even though some of the professors were intimidating, I still was pretty confident. However, after the first test for each class, I was disappointed. I had a D in my first finance test, a B+ in marketing and  B in management. Since I’m not a student that is used to getting Bs and Ds, I was ...

I think that what is next for my services is to become better. Since I have a competitive advantage over my competition I think that by next step would be to gas up the pedal. If I can corner my competition to the point that they can no longer compete with me because of the low prices I will win. Market interviews I interviewed Mark, a 21-year-old business student. I described him my venture concept and my ideas and he told me that he was delighted in hearing that. He told me that he believed in ventures like mine because they are created by college students with dreams. Because of the ambition we typically have, he is a believer in this venture concept. He liked that I'm offering cheap and good customer service. However, he added that I should come up with I way to show my customers that my company is reliable. The second person I interviewed is Juan. a 22-year-old political science major. When I described my business concept he thought that I was delusional and at the same ti...

Opportunity My venture concept was brought into my mind by the awful cable companies we have in Gainesville. Cox is the main telecommunications company we have in town. Despite having little competition, they still have a lot of ways to improve. The internet service they provided is not good, customer service is bad and above all, it is really expensive. They have plans of up to $40 per month for a 30 MB speed. Because of my negative experiences with cable companies, I realized that there may be an opportunity in the Gainesville area. My first thought at the beginning of this venture concept is if I’m going to have clients. Since targeting our market segment was a part of this project, I quickly scratched that up. I interviewed a good amount of people and results that came from low-income households and college students were pretty good. I decided to go by those demographics because they typically struggle with economic situations. However, the internet has become such a basic thi...

The person that is going to be in charge of running a started is going to be a person that has 10 years of experience in telecommunications companies. Since I know that I cannot run a telecommunications company by self, I had to contact a family member who has this kind of experience Valuable: This is valuable having this kind of experience will increase our chances of success Rare: Knowing someone with this kind of experience in this industry is something that is not easily found/ Inimitable: Experience is not something that can be imitated Non-substitutable: Experience by nature is non-substitutable. It is something you can only achieve through the passing of the years. Leadership:   My company will have a head-on in each department that will incentivize employees to be proactive and efficient. Valuable: This is valuable because it will optimize efficacy withing my company Rare: This ...

The theme of this book is that failure is not a sign of actual failure. Failure is more of a tool that gets us to success by learning and getting perfect at what we are aiming for. Scott Adams was a person that failed on almost everything he tried to achieve. His investments failed, his corporate career failed, and yet he was able to create Dilbert. One of the most famous comic strips of history. The book allows us to take a deep insight into scoot Adam's personal life, his inventions, failures success and how to get over failure. The life of an entrepreneur is a life full of failure. Failure in the entrepreneurship world is almost guaranteed. However, we still dare to embrace what we think is going to be beneficial for us. In my opinion, this book connects perfectly with ENT3003. It is a book that talks about a man that failed at almost everything and in the end he had success because his persistence paid off. This is a book that will enable entrepreneurs that there are some li...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-NO1yINKaQ Reflection: I think that in the last elevator pitch I needed to add a geographic location of where I was going to launch the product. Also, after Dr. Pryor provided the same feedback to the class, adding a launch location was a must. The feedback that most amazed be was that I got a lot of feedback to be a little bit more specific about my product. I also got great feedback because people liked a lot my hook. Changes: Based on the feedback I received, I added a geographical location of where I was going to launch my product. I also added some details of how to get my product once it launches. I also tried to talk a little bit slower and added more emotions to my pitch. I also tried to be more confident when I was opening that pitch with my hook. If I compare myself to the time I recorded my first pitch. I’d say I gotten more comfortable. Speaking in front of a camera for my peers is easier to do now. My third pitch is definitely the best...
